Information:
In order to operate our self-catering accommodation undertakings we may collect and process data about you that includes your use of our website e.g. pages viewed. The information includes particular pages viewed and their location, information provided by you when sending through a booking request using our system, or communication with us by any means.
Cookies:
Cookies are small data files that are downloaded onto your computer and stored on your computer. This information is statistical and does not identify you personally. You can decline or delete cookies by activating the setting on your computer or device browser that allows you to delete or decline cookies. This website only uses a session browser cookie in order for it to function. This is a random string of characters to identity the visitor. There are no personally identifiable details in the cookie and this will expire when the browser is closed or cleaned by the browser after a set period of time.
How we use your information:
In order to provide you with our holiday letting service we collect information from you that enables us to fulfil this service. The information we ask for includes contact details (name, address, telephone number, email address, number of people in your party). We will only contact you regarding any booking you have made. This is referred to as legitimate use of data in order to fulfil the holiday rental contract for which data is provided.
When you make an enquiry we use your data to provide you with the information you have requested. When you make a booking you are consenting to us holding your personal information i.e. name, address, email and contact telephone number. We do not disclose your personal information to third parties or sell it on for marketing purposes. We do not send out mailshots or unsolicited marketing material. We post some guest comments on our website and Facebook page. When we do this we use first names and post the month & year of stay as a generic date. We may contact you to review our service following your stay via Tripadvisor.
How we store your information:
Data is collected and stored in compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Only the Data Controller/Data Processor has access to our information. These people are Jude Rowley and Adrian Simmonds, owners of Cosy in Cartmel holiday flats. All electronic information is password protected and held securely. Manually held information (e.g. paper booking forms) is held under lock and key. information we hold about you will be deleted/destroyed on completion of your All visit unless you have asked us to retain this for future use.
