Flat 2 was formerly part of the service wing for The Tower House. This is a light and airy ground floor apartment with all rooms on the same level. Located at the rear of Tower House, it provides visitors with a quiet and relaxing feel while being in the centre of the village.

The flat retains much of the original character features such as the oak beam in the living area, a characterful recess in the bedroom and the original kitchen ceiling hooks in front of the imposing limestone fireplace. There is a comfy open-plan lounge-dining-kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom all on one level.

Outside is a wall garden and table and two chairs for enjoying an al fresco breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. The kitchen offers modern amenities including electric hob and single oven, toaster, microwave, slimline dishwasher and fridge with ice box. An automatic washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in the cupboard in the passageway by the bathroom.

The dining space is set within the sitting area with views from the window onto a pretty Lakeland stone wall dotted with wild flowers and ferns.

The sitting room has a 2-seater sofa and an electric ‘log-effect’ stove for those chillier evenings. A small flat screen TV with integral DVD player and a selection of DVDs are provided if you want to curl up and stay in. A CD player and small selection of CDs is provided for visitors to enjoy. A visitor folder provides local information for the village and the wider locale.

The cosy beamed bedroom has a double sleigh bed and ample storage.

The bathroom has a full-sized bath with over-head shower, heated towel rail, washbasin and toilet.

Pets permitted by prior arrangement. Smoking is not permitted.
